A video of a boy allegedly raising provocative slogans in a Popular Front of India (PFI) march went viral, following which the police have taken a man into custody.

A case under section 153A of IPC has been registered against the Alappuzha district president, secretary, and other persons of PFI.

Police engaged in the investigation after the video went viral

Kerala Police said on Monday that a boy allegedly raised provocative slogans at a PFI rally, the video of which has gone viral.

Police said that we came to know about the video only yesterday and we are finding out where it happened.

‘If you live in peace, then you can stay with us.

In the video, the boy is shouting slogans, ‘Hindus should keep rice for his last rites and Christians should keep incense sticks for his last rites.

If you live in peace then you can stay with us and if not then we want freedom. Be polite and calm.

Inflammatory slogans raised in the PFI rally: Rally was taken out in Alappuzha.

More people can also be seen repeating the slogan in the viral video. According to PFI officials, the rally was taken out in Alappuzha on Saturday.

They officially had a list of slogans but this slogan was not included in it.

Workers from different places took part in it. When the volunteers noticed this slogan, they stopped it. Further investigation is going on in the matter.

Taking action in the matter, the police have taken one person into custody. A case has been registered against the arrested person under section 153A of IPC.

The inspection of the matter is going on. There may be more revelations soon.

Karnataka: Bus-lorry clashes in Hubli, 8 killed, 25 injured.

A horrific road accident took place in Karnataka on Tuesday. A passenger bus and a lorry collided on the outskirts of Hubli. Eight people died as a result. While 25 people were injured.

An FIR has been registered in the incident. It is not known what caused the accident. At present, the matter is being investigated.

The injured are being treated at KIMS Hospital in Hubli. The drivers of both the vehicles died on the spot.

According to police, the passenger bus was on its way from Kolhapur to Bengaluru when it collided with a lorry headed towards Dharwad between 12:30 and 1 am when the bus driver was trying to overtake the tractor.

Six people died on the spot.

The accident happened at 12.45 pm. On the outskirts of Hubli near Tarihal on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway.

According to the police, the accident took place on the bypass when a truck carrying rice sacks and a private bus collided head-on, killing 6 people and two succumbing to their injuries at the hospital.

Officials said the death toll could rise as several of the injured were in critical condition.

A total of 25 injured passengers have been admitted to KIMS Hospital in Hubli. The identity of the deceased persons could not be ascertained.

Police said most of the deceased persons were traveling from Kolhapur in Maharashtra to Bengaluru. Hubli-Dharwad commissioner Labhu Ram visited the spot.

Hubli North Traffic Police has started an investigation into the matter. An FIR has been registered in the incident. Further investigation is being done.
