According to sources, investigators have recovered a letter belonging to the Israeli embassy officials from the blast site. The attack occurred on a day when both countries were celebrating the completion of 29 years of their full diplomatic relations.

PM Modi spoke to Netanyahu

Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday assured his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, to punish the perpetrators of this bombing. PM Modi said during this time that India highly values ​​the security of Israeli diplomats and the embassy.

PM Modi said this to Netanyahu on a phone call. Both leaders expressed satisfaction about the close coordination between Indian and Israeli security agencies in this context.

Earlier, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has assured the Israeli Foreign Minister to provide full security to his diplomats. The Israeli Foreign Ministry has also said that all its diplomatic and embassy staff in Delhi are safe.

The explosion occurred in 2012 too

Earlier in 2012, a bomb was planted in the same area under a vehicle of the Israeli embassy. There were no casualties even during this incident. The Delhi Police’s Special Cell arrested an Israeli journalist in the case.
