ITBP Chief SS Deswal Reaches Ladakh, Boosts Troops

ITBP Chief reaches Ladakh, boosts troops, honors brave men who thwart infiltration. Chief of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) SS Deswal was in Ladakh for six days to review the situation amid growing tensions with China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

He took stock of the preparations of his jawans and considered increasing coordination with the Indian Army stationed there. At present, more than 5,000 ITBP personnel are deployed in Ladakh. In the last few days, Deswal visited almost all the major areas along the border in the East Ladakh sector.

During the visit, the ITBP chief interacted with his jawans who participated in the operation on LAC and thwarted Chinese army infiltration efforts. He was honored by giving the symbol of ITBP on the spot. He also asked his soldiers to be ready for any situation. Deswal was accompanied by senior officials associated with administration and operations, including Inspector General Daljit Chaudhary and Manoj Singh.

He visited several places from Daulat Beg Oldi to the southern part of the Union Territory. He held a meeting with senior army commanders in Ladakh and assured them of full cooperation. He also assured better coordination between the two forces responsible for the security of the Union Territory. ITBP personnel has done a great job since the standoff with Chinese troops started in the first week of May.

BSF Director General visits Pargwal and Akhnoor Sector

BSF Director General Rakesh Asthana arrived in the forward areas on Friday to encourage the security forces on the international border and check security preparations. He has come on a three-day tour. On the first day, he visited the Pargwal and Akhnoor sectors of Jammu.

He inquired about arrangements to thwart the infiltration of terrorists from Pakistan in these sectors and to deal with the challenges created by the floods. Along with this, honored the soldiers who gave a befitting reply to the enemies. On Saturday, he will visit the Hiranagar sector of Samba and Kathua.

Air Force Chief reaches the College of Air Warfare

Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria visited the Secunderabad-based College of Air Warfare on Friday and discussed the state of national security with officials of the three forces. Officers of the three armies are participating in the 44th Higher Air Command Course here.
