Jahangirpuri violence: Delhi Police in action after the violence, 14 people arrested so far; Entire area converted into a cantonment.

Raids are intensified to nab the accused in the violence case during the Hanuman Janmotsav procession in the Jahangirpuri area. So far 14 people have been arrested in connection with the violence.

Earlier nine people were arrested. After this, five more accused have been arrested by the police.

Giving information, DCP North-West Usha Rangnani said that 5 more accused have been arrested in connection with the Jahangirpuri violence.

So far, a total of 14 people involved in the violence are in the custody of the police. At the same time, security arrangements have been tightened in the entire area.

A large number of security forces have been deployed, converting the area into a cantonment. On Saturday, 9 people including 8 policemen and 1 civilian were injured in the violence.

He is undergoing treatment in the hospital. A sub-inspector has also been shot, his condition is stable. Police claim that more arrests will be made soon.

Those involved in Jahangirpuri violence will not be spared at any cost.

Actually, the attack on the procession in the Jahangirpuri area on the occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav was well planned. This procession was taken out from EE block at 4 pm.

When the procession reaches the C block, people of the particular community suddenly start throwing stones at the procession.

With this unexpected attack, the people involved in the procession were not been able to protect themselves.

Attackers from the particular community attacked them with bricks, stones as well as glass bottles, etc. from the roofs of houses located near the religious place.

According to eyewitnesses like Nitin and Sahil of the area, women were also among those who were attacked with stones and bottles from the roofs.

While abusing them, they also tried to attack them with swords and other weapons in their hands. The demonstration also started by waving weapons in the air.

Meanwhile, some attackers ransacked the vehicles and set them on fire, creating an atmosphere of panic in the entire area.

The people involved in the procession said that the manner in which the attack started, it was clear that the attackers had already stored bricks, stones, and bottles and attacked as soon as the procession reached.

In view of the sensitivity, paramilitary forces including policemen from nearby police stations Delhi Police were immediately deployed.

Around 400 security personnel were deployed on the spot. However, after the violence, there is an atmosphere of panic among the people in the area.
