Jio Phone Next Price: Reliance Jio, India’s largest telecom and smartphone company, unveiled its most affordable and India’s cheapest 4G smartphone a few months back.

Which will be launched officially on 10th September next month. Ahead of the launch, many speculations are being made about the prices of the smartphone.

Counterpoint Research said the JioPhone Next is likely to retail for less than $75 (approximately 5,580).

According to Counterpoint Research’s India Handset Quarterly Outlook, the mass-market budget 4G smartphone from Reliance Industries (RIL) is set to be launched next month.

The launch of affordable 4G smartphones – will trigger feature phone-to-smartphone migration from JioPhone Next and boost overall smartphone shipments in India in 2021.

Currently, India has an install base of 320 million feature phone users.

According to media reports, the 4G smartphone will come with a display with 1440×720 pixels resolution and Qualcomm’s entry-level 215 mobile platforms with 2GB RAM and Android 11 Go Edition.

Additionally, it will also include Google Assistant, automatic read-aloud of screen text, language translation, and a smart camera.

JioPhone Next will support both Google and Jio apps as well as Android Playstore, giving users access to the entire library of Android apps.

Jio had announced the device at its 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

According to the report, India’s smartphone shipments will reach a year-on-year growth of 14% in 2021 to reach a “record high” of 173 million units in 2021.

The report said that over 100 million smartphones are expected to be shipped in 2H21 and 5G devices will comprise 19% of the total shipments.

“The market is experiencing a steep growth curve over the last five years to reach 158 million units in 2019.
