J&K Police Sub-Inspector Recruitment Canceled, CBI Probe Recommended: Manoj Sinha. The Jammu and Kashmir administration has canceled the recruitment of a Police Sub-Inspector.

Also, after coming under the purview of the recruitment investigation, a CBI inquiry has been recommended.

J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha tweeted and wrote that the recruitment of Sub-Inspector in J&K Police has been canceled and a CBI inquiry has been recommended in the selection process.

The culprits will be brought to justice soon. This is the first big step towards securing the future of our youth and the government will soon decide the future course of fresh recruitment.

According to the report of local media, the new update on the matter has come after about a month.

LG Manoj Sinha ordered an inquiry into the allegations of irregularities in the Sub Inspector (SI) selection process.

He also assured that if any irregularity is established, fresh recruitment would be done after quashing the previous process.

The inquiry committee was headed by the Additional Chief Secretary. The SI Selection List was displayed online on 4th June by the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB).

However, several candidates had questioned the list and termed it “inappropriate”. Various political parties also participated in it.

An ITBP jawan on duty in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Friday shot himself with his service gun.

According to ITBP officials, Premchand, posted as an assistant sub-inspector in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), shot himself at the mini-secretariat in Poonch city.

The incident took place at around 5:30 am in the 46 Battalion of ITBP.

The jawan was taken to the hospital for treatment where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

ITBP officer Shubham Verma said that the police have registered a case. An investigation has been started into this incident.
