Karti Raised Questions On Congress High Command’s Decision

Karti raised questions on Congress high command’s decision to form a jumbo committee for Tamil Nadu assembly elections, said.

The process of dissent in Congress is not taking the name of stoppage. The latest name in this episode is that of Lok Sabha MP Karti Chidambaram.

Karti, son of former finance minister and veteran Congress leader P. Chidambaram, has questioned the high command’s decision to make the state Congress a massive unit for the Tamil Nadu assembly elections.

Questioning the glut of leaders in the state executive, Karti has clearly said that such an experiment will not be good for the party before the election.

Sonia approved the list

Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu are scheduled in May. In view of this, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday approved the long list of state unit officials and executives.

In this list released by Congress organization general secretary KC Venugopal, 104 vice-presidents for Tamil Nadu Congress unit, 57 general secretaries along with 104 secretaries have been made.

Also, about a dozen committees related to elections have also been formed.

Karti said, no motive will be solved

The executive has 56 ex-officio members of the party with 56 members in various positions and more than 200 other leaders.

Karti Chidambaram tweeted immediately after the release of the list on behalf of Venugopal, saying that these jumbo committees would not solve any motive.

Such a large list would mean that no one would have competent authority. This would also mean that there would be no accountability of anyone.

Karti is constantly raising questions

Karti Chidambaram is one of the leaders of the party who have been raising questions on the internal challenges of the Congress in recent times.

Interestingly, his father P. Chidambaram is playing the role of a mediator between the Congress high command and disgruntled leaders in the ongoing internal infighting in the Congress.

Chidambaram insisted on organizing the organization elections

In a meeting of disgruntled leaders with Sonia Gandhi on 19 December, Chidambaram, while playing the role of a mediator, strongly advocated for holding elections at the block, district to state-level organizations.

Not only this, but P. Chidambaram had also advocated to re-erect the structure of the Parliamentary Board in the cold storage for nearly two decades in the Congress.
