Kashmir Crime News: Drug addicts run away from lockup arrested, jailed under Public Safety Act

A notorious drug trader in Bandipora escaped from the lockup of the Sumbal police station.

Taking strict notice, the police administration has asked Veerawar to remove the concerned police station in-charge Sajjad Ahmad and head constable Abdul Hameed, and report to the district police line Bandipora.

Meanwhile, the drug trafficker who escaped from lockup was arrested again and sent to jail under the Public Safety Act. Inspector Mohammad Salim has been made in charge of the police station of Sumbal until further orders.

The drug addict who escaped from lockup is very infamous. There are many cases pending against him earlier.

District SSP Bandipora Maheed Zahid, after completing all the legal formalities, has recommended to the administration to send him to jail under the Public Safety Act. He is now held captive under the Public Safety Act.
