The terrorists hatched a big conspiracy to spoil the atmosphere in Srinagar by targeting another Kashmiri (Pandit) Hindu businessman Dr. Sandeep Mawa.
Terrorists on Monday night reached Mawa’s showroom in the Jainakadal area of downtown Srinagar and shot dead his salesman Mohammad Ibrahim, who was starting his car there.
It is said that Mawa had left the showroom about half an hour ago. It is feared that Dr. Mawa was the target of the terrorists and without finding him on the spot, the terrorists fled after killing his salesman.
Let us tell you that Dr. Mawa is already the target of terrorists and he also has security.
The Resistance Front (TRF), a terrorist organization called Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Hit Squad, is said to be behind this murder.
This is the second target killing in Srinagar in the last 24 hours. On Sunday night, terrorists shot and killed a policeman, Tauseef, standing outside the house in Batamaloo.
Police officials said that Mohammad Ibrahim Khan’s son Ghulam Mohammad Khan resident of Down Town was working with Dr. Mawa for more than 10 years.
Sources said that at around 9.15 pm, Mohammad Ibrahim was starting Dr. Mawa’s car outside the showroom to take him to his house when suddenly the terrorists came.
They fired shots at Mohammad Ibrahim, who was sitting in the driver’s seat. Thinking that he was dead, the terrorists fled from there.
After the security personnel patrolled the area, top police officers also reached the spot. They took the injured Ibrahim to the hospital.
There were bullets in his chest on the left side and in the stomach. After some time in the hospital, he passed away without bearing his wounds.
To nab the terrorists, security forces have launched a cordon and search operation in the downtown area. Roads to and from various parts of Srinagar have been blocked.
Let us tell you that earlier on October 5, terrorists had killed Kashmiri Hindu businessman Makhan Lal Bindru by entering his shop.
Dr. Mawa also has showrooms in Jammu and Delhi: Kashmiri Pandit Dr. Sandeep Mawa has a showroom in the Jainakadal area of Srinagar.
His business is also in Jammu and Delhi and there are many showrooms also. Dr. Mawa has also formed the Jammu Kashmir Reconciliation Front.
Dr. Mawa, who has done an MBBS from Acharya Shri Chandra Medical College.
He has been making constant efforts for the past few years to enhance dialogue-contact coordination between Kashmiri Pandit and the Kashmiri Muslim community.
He keeps on organizing various events. Dr. Mawa’s family is one of the few families of Kashmiri Pandits who did not break their ties with Kashmir despite threats from terrorists.
His father Roshan Lal Mawa was attacked by terrorists in October 1990. Roshan Lal was hit by four bullets.
Despite that, he survived. Two years ago, he changed the look of his ancestral shops located in Gada Kucha Jainakadal to a showroom.
