Lashkar terrorist ally arrested with a weapon in Shopian, being interrogated: Militancy In Kashmir.

A terrorist going to carry out a terrorist attack in Kashmir has been arrested by the security forces with a weapon.

A Lashkar terrorist associate was arrested along with AK-47 and ammunition during a joint block put up by soldiers of SOG, 44 RR of Army, and 178 Battalion of CRPF at Dragad Zainpora in South Kashmir’s District Shopian.

The arrested terrorist is being interrogated. He has been identified as Bilal Ahmed Dar son of Nazir Ahmed Dar resident of Maldera Shopian.

Terrorist organizations operating in Kashmir are making constant efforts to increase the attacks. Their only motive is to create panic among the people.

To target the common people in the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, not only the terrorists but also the overground workers supporting them are making plans.

Security personnel well acquainted with terrorist motives are keeping vigil to make every nefarious act a thwart.

Police sources said that on the basis of credible information, they started searching pedestrians and vehicles by setting up a special Naka in the Dragad area of Shopian Zainpora.

Before he could succeed in his attempt, the security forces caught him there. When the security forces questioned him, there was a look of panic on his face.

The security forces got suspicious of him and when they searched his vehicle, they recovered an AK-47, his magazine, and other ammunition from it. The police immediately arrested him.

Police sources have expressed such apprehension that the arrested Bilal was entrusted with the task of target killing or transporting this weapon to a Lashkar terrorist.

At present, the police have registered a case against him and he is being interrogated. In the preliminary interrogation, Bilal told that he was going from Sugan to Chitragam.
