Major conspiracy of target killing of politicians and religious leaders failed in Jammu.

Along with disrupting the Independence Day and Amarnath Yatra, the Jammu Police foiled Lashkar-e-Taiba’s big conspiracy of target killing politicians and religious leaders in Jammu like Kashmir.

Police have recovered a huge cache of arms, ammunition, and cash from a house in the Talab Khatika area of ​​the Old City of Jammu. The police have also arrested three terrorists in this regard.

The three terrorists used to carry the weapons dropped by Pakistan from the drones in the border areas of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua to the terrorists operating in Jammu and Kashmir.

He had kept many deadly weapons hidden with him.

Jammu Zone Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Mukesh Singh told a press conference that Faizal Munir, a resident of Talab Khatika, Jammu, was running a terror module.

Munir had also included Habib of Haria Chakk in district Kathua and Mian Mian Sohail of Samba in this.

All three were in contact with their handler Bashir Sijan (a resident of Doda) and another handler (whose code name is Albert) sitting in Pakistan.

Faizal Munir was involved in the grenade attack on Amarnath pilgrims in 2003 at Hari Singh School.

Munir was convicted of this terror attack and came out on bail only two years back. As soon as he came out, he again came in contact with the terrorists.

So far 20 to 25 people have been detained: According to sources, the three terrorists were trying to carry out target killing in Jammu.

A silencer has also been found along with the Chinese pistol recovered from them.

Due to this, the police is fearing that these terrorists wanted to create an atmosphere of fear in Jammu by targeting politicians and religious leaders.

Although ADGP Mukesh Singh said that in the interrogation so far, the terrorists have not accepted the conspiracy of target killing, the police will now interrogate them in depth.

The police have so far detained 20 to 25 people. A few more people are to be taken into custody, for whom raids are on.

Faizal Munir used to carry weapons in his car to Kashmir.

During interrogation, Faizal Munir told the police that till now he had picked up the weapons thrown by Pakistan drones near the International Border in Haria Chak, Maniyari, and Tali areas of Kathua district.

He was accompanied by Habib and Mian Sohail in this work.

The weapons that came in the Pakistani drone that was shot down in Kathua about one and a half months ago were to be picked up by this terror module.

In June 2020 also, a drone was shot down in Kathua and contained seven sticky bombs. These bombs came for this module.

Till now, the three had sent weapons, money, and other items from Pakistan to the terrorists 15 to 20 times through drones.

He used to take these weapons in his car in Kashmir. This car has also been recovered by the police. He had kept some weapons with him.

After questioning, weapons were also recovered from Munir’s house at Talab Khatika.

The three arrested terrorists were also active in drug smuggling. A machine for weighing narcotics has also been recovered from them.

For the Katra bus blast, it was Munir who gave sticky bombs to terrorists:

Faizal Munir, a terrorist caught in Jammu, told in the preliminary interrogation that on May 14 this year, he only carried the sticky bomb used in the Katra bus blast to the terrorists.

Munir has also told the names of some of these terrorists to the police. Sticky bombs were thrown in district Samba only through drones.

After the arrest of Munir, the police have now started arresting the terrorists involved in the Katra bomb blast.

Munir also told that he was planning to carry out bomb blasts in the congested areas of Jammu city in the coming days.

Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Singh also admitted that the police have got important clues in the Katra bus blast.

He said that this matter will also be exposed soon, the investigation is still on. He said that the arrest of Faisal Munir and his associates is a big success for the police.

Independence Day and festivals are coming in the coming days. In such a situation, the terrorists were conspiring to disturb them.
