Major reshuffle in top posts in Indian Armed Forces, new appointments from Army to Navy. Several reshuffles have been made in the top posts in the armed forces in the last two days.
This includes new appointments to the posts of Commander-in-Chief, Eastern Army Commander, Vice Chief of Andaman, and Nicobar Command.
The major reshuffle in the Indian Army has happened due to the vacancies of several key posts. Vice Admiral Ravneet Singh took over as the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff on Tuesday.
The post is still held by Vice Admiral MS Pawar who retired on 31 May. Ravneet Singh joined the Indian Navy on 1 July 1983. He has held many important responsibilities in his long career.
Meanwhile, Lt Gen Pradeep Chandran Nair took over as the Director-General of the Assam Rifles. Pradeep Chandran Nair has rich experience of Assam Rifles and North East.
He had earlier served as Inspector General and Company Commander in the same force. In another important posting in the Indian Navy, Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi took over as the Chief of Staff.
Vice Admiral Sandeep Naithani took over as Chief of Materials. Vice Admiral Kiran Deshmukh was appointed Controller Warship Production and Acquisition.
Lt Gen Manoj Pandey took over the crucial Eastern Command of the Indian Army based in Kolkata, while Lt Gen Ajay Singh took over as the Commander-in-Chief of Andaman and Nicobar.
The Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) is crucial to the Army’s planning as it is the only model for synergy between the three services in the country.
Girl accuses army personnel of raping, these days army personnel are posted in Kashmir.
A young woman residing in the border area of Akhnoor has lodged a complaint with the Trikuta Nagar police station for raping army personnel.
The girl alleges that the army personnel took her several times to a hotel opposite the Jammu railway station by luring her and raped her there.
On the complaint of the girl, the police registered a case against the accused army personnel Rajat Kumar resident of Khanpur Palora.
SHO Trikuta Nagar Deepak Pathania says that the accused military personnel are posted in Kashmir these days. Information is being gathered about his unit.
After this, a letter will be written to his commanding officer asking him to appear before the police. The accused is to be interrogated in the case.
