More Than 12 Thousand New Cases Of Corona In Kerala

More than 12 thousand new cases of corona surfaced in Kerala, with more than one lakh 18 active cases.

On Thursday, 12 thousand 288 new cases of corona infection were reported in Kerala and 141 people died. With this, 47 lakh 63 thousand 722 cases of corona have been reported in the state so far.

At the same time, the death toll has gone up to 25 thousand 952. An official press release said that the number of people who recovered from the disease stood at 15 thousand 808 on Wednesday.

Due to this, the total number of people who have been cured has increased to 46 lakh 18 thousand 408. At present, the active cases in the state are one lakh 18 thousand 744.

During the last 24 hours, 99 thousand 312 samples were tested. Ernakulam has the highest number of 1,839 cases among 14 districts.

Apart from this, 1,698 cases have been reported in Thrissur, 1,435 in Thiruvananthapuram, and 1,033 in Kozhikode.

After the Onam festival in August, the state is witnessing a decline in the daily cases after over 30,000 cases were reported.

During the last 24 hours, 69 health workers were found infected. 51 people who came from outside the state were found infected.

11 thousand 674 people were found infected through contact tracing. Information about how 494 people got infected was not revealed.

At present, three lakh 77 thousand 128 people are under observation in various districts.

Out of these, three lakh 62 thousand 444 cases are in-home or institutional quarantine and 14 thousand 684 cases are in hospital.

For the first time after 204 days in the country, the lowest two lakh 44 thousand 198 active cases have been registered.

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Thursday, the number of new infected in the country remained less than 30 thousand for 13 consecutive days.

With these new cases, the total number of infected has gone up to 3,38,94,312. At the same time, the death toll increased to 4,49,856 due to the death of 318 more people.
