According to highly placed sources of NIA, no explosive material or weapon was recovered from the arrested terrorists.

During interrogation, Jufri told that he had got the task of getting the propaganda material of IS printed in local languages ​​to reach as many people as possible and setting up sleeper cells all over the country.

Jufri used to translate IS propaganda material sent in Arabic into Malayalam and through this used to prepare youth for IS.

The interrogation of Jufri and Amin so far has made it clear that they wanted to set up an organization on the lines of Indian Mujahideen (IM) across the country.

A senior official said that one of the reasons behind this is Jufri’s links with IM’s founder terrorists Bhatkal brothers.

Trying to build IS.

In fact, Jufri’s brother Adnan Hasan Damudi was in contact with the three Bhatkal brothers Yasin, Riyaz, and Iqbal Bhatkal and in 2017 the NIA arrested him in a case related to IS, at present, he is in jail.

The senior official said that Jufri, who was aware of the working of the Indian Mujahideen and its spread across the country, was trying to build an IS structure on the same lines.

Instructions were being received from terrorist masters.

According to sources, Zufri was in constant contact with the terrorist masters of IS operating on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan under a pseudonym.

From there he also got promotional material. Ejaz Ahangar alias Abu Usman al-Kashmiri is also among the IS terrorists with whom he was in contact.

It is worth noting that al-Kashmiri is also the wali (chief) of IS Jammu and Kashmir. It was arrested by Afghan military forces after an attack on the gurdwara in Kabul last year.
