Shaadi Lal Pandita, the leader of the Kashmiri Pandit Colony in Jagati, says that Navreh is a very important day among the Kashmiri Pandits.

In the evening itself, the Kashmiri Pandit will keep a photo of the Goddess on the plate and will also decorate the plate with various materials.

Milk, rice, walnuts, roti, salt basil, flowers, curd, jantari, etc. are kept on the plate and worshiped. Then the next day, on seeing the platter on Navreh, the Kashmiri Pandit takes forward his work in the new year.

Later the walnuts are shed in the river and the people are wished for well-being. Shaadi Lal Pandita says that when he lived in the Kashmir valley, the fun of Navreh was something else.

But today they are uprooted from their homes and living in displaced camps. The Kashmiri Pandit wants to settle in the valley and join his culture. But the central government has not been able to make any plan yet.

This makes Kashmiri Pandits desperate. But we are very sure that the Mother Goddess will definitely listen to the voice of Kashmiri Pandits and will find a way to return to the valley. Returning to the valley is a priority for Kashmiri Pandits.
