The Naxalites had kidnapped two villagers on 17 July and seven on 18 July.

Even after a day, when they did not return home, 25 other villagers also went to the forest to rescue them. They were also taken hostage by the Naxalites.

When the police reached Kunded after getting information about the incident, only women were found in the village. Since then the police was busy in search of the villagers.

SP Sunil Sharma said that all the villagers have reached their homes on Tuesday night. Detail discussion with the villagers has not been done yet.

Ramdev Baghel, president of the youth cell of Sarva Adivasi Samaj, also confirmed that all the villagers have been released by the Naxalites at eight o’clock on Tuesday night.
