Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s 125th Birth Anniversary Today

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary, President Kovind and PM Modi, and others paid tributes. Today is the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the great freedom fighter and founder of Azad Hind Fauj.

The central government has decided to celebrate his birth anniversary as Parakram Divas. On this occasion, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and other leaders including Prime Minister Modi remembered and paid tribute to him.

President Ramnath Kovind tweeted that he saluted Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at the inauguration of the 125th birth anniversary celebrations.

In honor of his indomitable courage and valor, the entire nation is celebrating his birth anniversary as ‘Parakram Divas’. Netaji instilled the spirit of nationalism among his countless followers.

President Kovind also said that Netaji is one of our most loved Rashtriya Nayaks, who has made an extraordinary contribution to India’s freedom struggle.

Netaji’s ‘might’ shook the British rule

On this day in 1897, Subhash Chandra Bose was born in Cuttack (Odisha). He received his higher education from the Presidency of Calcutta and the Scottish Church College.

In 1920 he secured fourth place in the Civil Services Examination in England. First in 1938 and then in 1939, became the President of the Indian National Congress.

He then founded the All India Forward Block. In 1942, Indian soldiers in Germany addressed him as Netaji.

After this, Netaji became famous in India as well. In 1943, as a Commander of the Azad Hind Fauj formed a temporary government.
