NIA raids at many places in Kashmir terror funding case: NIA Raids In Kashmir.
The NIA along with Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF personnel today conducted searches at seven places from Kishtwar to Baramulla in North Kashmir.
Among those whose whereabouts have been searched is a Panch and an employee of the Sericulture Department.
The raids have taken place in connection with helping terrorist organizations, anti-national elements and planning an IED blast in Jammu.
The officials concerned said that this morning the NIA team raided the house of Mohammad Shafi Wani in the Lasjan area of Srinagar.
The NIA team has detained Mohammad Shafi Wani and his son Rais Wani for questioning. Both have been brought to the police station Pantha Chowk.
Their mobile phones have also been confiscated. Apart from this, some documents, laptops have also been taken over by the NIA team from his house.
In Kulgam, South Kashmir, the NIA has searched the house of Waseem Ahmed Dar in Laram Ganjipora, while the house of Bashir Ahmed Padar in Bamnu Sadiwar of Anantnag has also been raided by the NIA team.
Padar is also the Panch of his area and is a trader of trade in goods and cattle by profession.

The NIA team also reached the house of Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani in Jandfaran Sheer, located near Baramulla in North Kashmir. Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani is working in Sericulture Department.
The NIA has also raided two places in Doda and Kishtwar in Jammu province. The NIA’s action was on till the last information was received. Other details are awaited.

Police have arrested two accused of banned drugs and heroin.
The Pounichakk police recovered fifty banned capsules from Rishi Basan, a resident of Kabir Colony, at a block put up in the Hazuri Bagh area of Bohri, which are used for intoxication.
At the same time, the police arrested Mohit Sudan, a resident of Mendhar, along with two grams of heroin from the Paloura area under Janipur police station.
Police have registered cases against both. Police say that information is being obtained from the accused that from where they had brought the intoxicant capsules and the narcotic substance heroin.
