PLA is doing construction work in Tibet, India ready for any situation: CDS Rawat.

CDS General Bipin Rawat said on Monday that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was carrying out development activities in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China amidst the Sino-India deadlock in Ladakh.

He said that Indian forces are fully prepared to deal with any situation and similar activities are being carried out in the country.

General Rawat told reporters on the occasion of the launch of the indigenous vessel ‘Himgiri’ which is not in the eyes of the radar, ‘The deadlock in Ladakh is still going on.

Some construction-related activities are taking place in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Every nation will continue preparations to increase its security on the basis of its strategic interests.

He said, ‘I do not think there should be much worried about it because we are carrying out such activities on our side too. Indian armed forces will leave no stone unturned to protect the country’s borders.

CDS said, “During China’s attempt to change the status quo along the Line of Actual Control on the northern border during the Covid-19 epidemic, land, sea, and air required very high levels of preparedness.”

He said that after the Doklam standoff in 2017, the Indian Army has taken steps to ensure that there is no further progress.

Indian forces are carefully monitoring the activities of the PLA in Doklam. In 2017, two powerful forces stood in front of each other in the world for 73 days.

As the military standoff with China continued in eastern Ladakh, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday that the Indian armed forces on the LAC  in East Ladakh confronted the Chinese army with ‘complete bravery’ and forced them to withdraw.

Addressing the annual general meeting of FICCI, an organization of industry boards, Singh said that aggression on our borders of the Himalayas without any provocation shows how the world is changing, how existing agreements are being challenged.

In this context, the Defense Minister said that not only the Himalayas but the entire Indo-Pacific region, the future of the region, and the world is becoming uncertain in view of the way power is being demonstrated.
