PM Modi On NEP: The Foundation Of New India Will Be Ready

PM Modi on NEP: Sheep movement has no place in new education policy, the foundation of new India will be ready. There were no major changes in our education system over the years. As a result, instead of pursuing curiosity and imagination in our society, sheep were starting to get encouraged. Sheepmanship has no place in the new education policy.

National education policy is going to create the foundation of 21st century India, the new India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the above things while addressing the Vice-Chancellors of Universities, Directors of Higher Educational Institutions and Colleges across the country.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre, and Chairman of the policy framing committee K Kasturirangan were also present during this period. The conclave has been organized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). It also has several sessions on topics related to higher education.

PM Modi said in his address that every country while connecting its education system with national value, goes on improving according to its national goal. The objective is that the education system of the country should keep it is present and future generations ready for the future, prepare future. This is also the basis of India’s national education policy.

The National Education Policy was approved after a long churn

Earlier, PM Modi said that today’s event is very important in the context of national education policy. Through this conclave, the Education World of India will get detailed information about various aspects of the National Education Policy. The more information is clear, then the easier it will be to implement this national education policy. After three-four years of extensive deliberations, the National Education Policy has been approved after a long brainstorm on millions of suggestions.

There is a widespread discussion on new education policy across the country

During this time, PM Modi also said that there is a widespread discussion on the new education policy across the country. People from different fields, people of different ideologies, giving their opinions, reviewing the National Education Policy.

This is a healthy discussion, the higher it is, the more the country’s education system will get. All of you are directly involved with the implementation of the National Education Policy and therefore your role is very important. I am fully committed to you as far as political will is concerned. It is a matter of happiness that after coming, there has been no mention of any kind of bias, or any inclination from any part of the country, from any section of the country.

Why was the focus on the local language?

In his address, PM Modi said that there is no dispute that the dialect of the home of the children and the language of learning in school improves the speed of learning of children. This is a big reason that it has been agreed to teach children in their mother tongue. In our education system so far, the focus has been on ‘what to think’, whereas ‘how to think’ is being emphasized in this education policy.

This is why I am saying that in the era we are in today, there is no shortage of information and content. The effort now is to emphasize inquiry-based, discovery-based, discussion-based, and analysis based methods for children to learn. This will increase the urge to learn in children and also increase their participation in their class. This is the thinking behind making higher education free of streams, multiple entry, and exit.

In the new era, you have to keep re-skills and up-skills

PM Modi also said that we are moving towards that era, where a person will not remain in any one profession throughout his life. For this, he will have to constantly re-skill and up-skill himself. When we go to the villages, we will see the farmer, the laborers, the laborers working, only then they will be able to know about them, understand them, learn to respect their labor. Therefore, a lot of work has been done on the dignity of student education and labor in the National Education Policy.

We all have to work together determined

PM Modi said in his address that when these changes will be seen in the institute and infrastructure also, only then can the National Education Policy be implemented more effectively. The path to good quality education lies between these two views. This will encourage quality. To implement the National Education Policy, we all have to work together determinedly.

National education policy will not apply only by issuing circulars, notifying

PM Modi said that a new round of dialogue and coordination with universities, colleges, school education boards, different states, different stakeholders will start from here. The National Education Policy will not be implemented only by issuing circulars and notifying. For this, you have to make up your mind, you all have to show strong will. This work is like a Mahayagya for you to create the present and future of India.

Gurudev remembered Rabindranath Tagore

PM Modi, while remembering Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on his death anniversary, said that today Guruvar is also the death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. He used to say – ‘Highest education is that which not only informs us but brings our life in harmony with all existence.’ Certainly, the larger goal of the National Education Policy is linked to this.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal

Earlier, on the new education policy, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that after putting education policy in the public domain, more than two and a half lakhs of suggestions have come after analyzing each and every suggestion; Is in front.

Key features of the new education policy

The biggest feature of the new education policy is that schooling, higher education along with vocational education like agricultural education, legal education, medical education, and technical education have been brought under its purview.

– Preparation will be done based on the 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 design of the pedestal. This includes the last 4 years 9th to 12th.

The government has set a target of ensuring education for every child by the year 2030. After schooling, every child will have at least one life skill. This will enable him to start work in the field. The government has set a target that 6 percent of GDP be put in education, which is currently 4.43%.

In the new National Education Policy 2020, the Common Entrance Exam will be offered by the National Examination Agency for admission to higher education institutions. It will not be mandatory for the institute.

– For the first time in the field of education, multiple entries and exit systems have been implemented. The certificate will be given after one year, diploma after two years and degree after three-four years. This will greatly benefit such students, who for some reason miss their studies.
