In the meeting, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan informed about the increasing cases of corona due to the Omicron variant in the country and abroad.

Significantly, in the last 24 hours, there has been a decrease in new cases of the corona. The Health Ministry said that 1,68,063 new cases of corona have been reported on Monday.

While on January 9, 1 lakh 79 thousand 723 new cases were reported. The active corona patients in the country have increased to 8,21,446.

At the same time, the cases of new variant Omicron of coronavirus have crossed 4400.

The Health Ministry said that the total number of patients of Omicron has now increased to 4,461. So far, Omicron has spread its feet in 28 states of the country.
