Aircraft carrier INS Vikrant to join Indian Navy next year, second trial underway. The Indian Navy may get a second aircraft carrier in the form of INS Vikrant by the middle of next year.

At present, its second trial is going on in the sea. It is completely indigenously manufactured and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

With its joining the Indian Navy, India’s maritime security will be strengthened, as well as it will also play an important role in souring the enemy’s teeth.

Let us tell you that the Indian Navy already has an aircraft carrier named INS Visakhapatnam, whose presence is the biggest threat to the enemy.

India’s first aircraft carrier was also named after INS Vikrant. This time the aircraft carrier which is under trial has been built by Cochin Shipyard Limited.

This is the first aircraft carrier that has been built in India. Its first trial last year was completely successful. Vikrant is a Sanskrit word.

The motto of this aircraft carrier is ‘Jayama Sama Yudhi Spardha’ which is taken from Rigveda. In Hindi, it means ‘I defeat those who fight against me’.

The design of this ship was started in 1999. It was first revealed on 29 December 2011. Its first basin trial was completed in December 2020.

After this, its trial in the sea started in August 2021. During the second trial, flight trials are being done vigorously.

A tweet by the Indian Navy shows a helicopter and a MiG-29 fighter taking off and landing from this aircraft carrier.

Now with its second trial, it is expected that it will be inducted into the Navy by its scheduled time of August 2023.

Let us tell you that before the second trial of this ship, the President and Vice President of the country have taken stock of it. The MiG-29 took off from this aircraft carrier on 10 January 2022.

This moment was a very emotional moment for the people who built this ship and worked on it.

In a tweet, PRO Defense Kochi has written that in the second sea trial of INS Vikrant, it will be seen how it is working.

This aircraft carrier, 860 feet long and 203 feet wide, can move through the sea chest at a speed of 56 km per hour (30 kg knots).

Apart from 196 officers, 1449 cellars can live together on it at a time. This also includes aircrew members.

A very powerful radar system has been installed on it to get the information of the enemy. This radar can do many things at the same time.

It is fitted with the Barak missile, which is a surface-to-air missile. This missile is capable of delivering accurate strikes up to 150 km. From 36 to 40 aircraft can stand on this aircraft carrier at a time.
