About 55 years ago in Kashmir, when a movement against the abduction of a Kashmiri Pandit woman was started from this temple. Seven agitators were martyred. His tomb is also in this temple.

The temple was formally opened in 2010: If the situation improved a little, this temple formally opened in 2010 and then worshiped on Vasant Panchami every year.

Although the fair is not held as before, Kashmiri Hindus gather at the temple and offer prayers.
