Predator Drones will increase the strength of the Indian Army, the country may get 31 drones soon; an eye on defense deals.

An agreement is likely to be signed for the purchase of state-of-the-art Predator drones during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US.

Under this deal, India may soon get 31 drones. These drones are used for both surveillance and attack purposes. All three armies in India will use them together.

All three forces will use Predator drones together.

According to a senior official associated with the country’s security, the purchase of 31 Predator drones will give India an edge in surveillance.

These drones will monitor the water, land, and air borders of the country from a great height.

These drones will be operated by the joint command of the three armies. This command will work under the Chief of the three Services (CDS).

Defense equipment will be used by all three forces.

The Council for the Purchase of defense equipment has sent an outline to this effect to the headquarters of the three services.

In the future, helicopters, drones, and air defense systems will be used jointly by the three forces. India shares long land and sea borders with China and Pakistan.

India has had wars with both the nuclear weapon states and even at present India’s relations with them are strained.

China and Pakistan are threats to India.

While China’s expansionist policy is threatening the stability of the region, Pakistan has become the pivot of terror and is trying to disturb India in every possible way.

Due to the antics of these two countries, India’s security challenges are increasing and it is in need of new arrangements for its security.

PM Modi met 26 personalities from these fields including education, and discussed issues of challenges and opportunities.

On the first day of the US tour, PM Narendra Modi met 26 prominent personalities from the education sector, health sector, diplomacy, arts, economics, and business sector in New York.

He elaborated on the challenges and opportunities of India and the world in their respective fields.

This is the first time that an Indian Prime Minister has discussed policy issues with personalities from such a diverse field on foreign soil.
