The accused, who were chargesheet on Saturday, have been identified as Mohd Shariq (25), Maj Munir Ahmed (23), Syed Yaseen (22), Rishan Thajuddin Shaikh (22), Huzair Farhan Baig (22), Majin Abdul Rehman (22), Nadeem Ahmad K A (22), Zambiullah (32) and Nadeem Faizal N (27). All of these accused are residents of Karnataka.

It may be mentioned that Maaj Munir Ahmed and Syed Yasin were charge-sheeted earlier in March this year and now they have been accused of other offenses.

He was tasked by an ISIS handler based abroad to undertake a robotics course to acquire the skills to carry out terrorist attacks in the future to further the IS agenda for India.

The NIA investigation revealed that Mohd Shariq, Maaz Ahmed, and Syed Yaseen were involved in a criminal conspiracy with ISIS members abroad to promote terrorism and violence across the country.

The directives of the terrorist organization ISIS are prohibited in the area.
