Punjab Police busts a gang instigated by Khalistan Liberation Force.

Punjab Police has busted a gang running with the help of the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF). This gang has been found involved in many other criminal incidents including murder.

The police have also arrested 4 operatives of this gang, one of them is said to be a former soldier of the Indian Army.

Police have also recovered two .32 bore pistols, 4 magazines, and ammunition besides an Etios car with a fake registration number from the accused.

Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Dinkar Gupta told the media that former Indian Army constable and prime accused Jaspreet Singh alias Nupi was jailed in a murder case in 2017.

He was recruited as a constable in the Indian Army in 2012. Nupi had escaped from Patiala Jail in April 2021, since then police was looking for him.

During his absconding, Nupi came in contact with KLF operators abroad. These operators had asked Nupi to form a terrorist gang to carry out targeted killings in the state.

It has been told in the information that Jaswinder Singh, resident of village Fatehpur Bunga of Ropar, Gaurav Jain alias Minku of village Kaliyawala in Sirsa district, and Prashant Silen alias Kabir, resident of Meerut UP have also been arrested.

All of them were working together as a gang. All these are being questioned, many information can be found.

Punjab Police busts a gang: SSP Khanna Gursharan Singh Grewal said that on the information of the informer.

The police had started a special vigil and investigation on GT Road Khanna, that all three had opened fire on the police when they got out of a car.

But the police somehow caught Jaswinder Singh and Minku and later arrested Kabir and Nupi along with his companions.

DGP Gupta said that during the interrogation of Nupi, it has been revealed that on July 3, fifty thousand rupees were looted from the petrol pump in Kharar, while a car was snatched at gunpoint, the same car was recovered by the police.

Nupi has admitted that he was working for the KLF terrorist organization. He was also given a pistol etc. for anti-India activities.
