Rafael Nadal Won His 22nd Career Grand Slam Title

Rafael Nadal won his 22nd career Grand Slam title. Nadal, who won the 22nd Grand Slam, said – I will not play any other Grand Slam with injury.

Spain’s Rafael Nadal, who won his 22nd career Grand Slam title at the French Open, has said he will not play another Grand Slam with a leg injury.

Nadal was troubled by a leg injury ahead of the French Open. In view of this, his playing in Wimbledon is in doubt.

He, however, said after the final of the French Open that he would definitely play at Wimbledon if his body allows, as it is not a tournament he would like to skip.

Nadal says he doesn’t want to repeat the way he played at the French Open despite the injury.

Asked if he could play another Grand Slam with the injury, which required him to get injections to numb his leg? To this Nadal said, I do not want to put myself in this situation again.

This can happen only once but it is not something that I follow for the rest of my life. It’s not about making history or making records.

I like to play tennis and I like competition. What drives me to keep going is the passion for the game and living the moments that always stay in me.

He said, “Of course, I have given priority to playing tennis in my life, but my priority is no more than my life.”

If I’m happy playing tennis with the things I have now, I’ll keep going and if I’m not able to, I’ll do other things.

Nadal reached fourth place

Former number one men’s player Rafael Nadal has moved up a place to fourth in the ATP rankings as he won his 14th French Open title on Sunday.

Novak Djokovic of Serbia remains on top. At the same time, Casper Roode, who played in the Grand Slam final for the first time, has reached a career-best sixth ranking from eighth.

This time around, the French Open’s impact on the rankings will be longer as both the WTA and ATP professional tours have announced that they will not award Wimbledon points starting June 27.

America’s Coco Gauff, on the other hand, climbed to a career-best 13th place in the WTA rankings after losing to world number one Inga Sviatake in the final of the French Open tennis tournament.

The 18-year-old Gauff, who reached the Grand Slam final for the first time, has gained 10 places. Gauff had never progressed beyond the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam before.

She reached the finals of both singles and doubles at Roland Garros but lost. Her doubles partner Jessica Pegula also made it to the top-10 of the singles category for the first time.

Jessica has moved up from 11th to eighth. Barbara Krasikova has slipped from second to 14th in the latest rankings.
