Rift In The Constituents Of Gupkar Alliance After DDC Elections

Rift in the constituents of the Gupkar alliance after DDC elections. All is not well in the constituents of the Gupkar alliance, accusing others of losing seats.

People’s Alliance for Group Declaration (PAGD) constituents may have been trying to show unity among themselves, but all is not well in this alliance.

Rift in the constituents of the Gupkar alliance: After losing the District Development Council seats in some districts of Kashmir, the leaders of these parties are churning and accusing each other.

Now senior PDP leader and MP Fiaz Ahmed Mir has alleged that the party National Conference had fielded candidates against the PDP candidates in many places despite the alliance and because of this, they lost.

The PDP leader said that the seats won by the PDP after the alliance in the Kupwara district were also fielded by NC.

Among the 14 seats of Kupwara, NC had fielded candidates in Hayama, Ridhi, Karalpora, Draghmula. These seats were given to PDP.

He said that despite the differences, we accepted it when the Gupkar alliance decided to contest the elections jointly. But NC fielded their candidates in every seat.

All the parties of the Gupkar alliance know this. They should take some action on this. He said that the agreement reached by the parties of the Gupkar alliance did not show up at the ground level.

If this was to be done then why an alliance. We were given only one seat each in Handwara and Karnah. Two seats were given in Lolab but there too NC fielded its supporting candidates.

He said that coalition religion was practiced in some seats only. All parties should see this. Action should be taken against those who did not accept the alliance.

It is worth noting that before the District Development Council elections, the Congress had also alleged that the group of coalition parties is contesting the candidates on the seats which were given to them.

After this, the situation with the Gupkar alliance was confusing with Congress.
