Seven people died in a road accident on Tuesday morning in the Koramangala area of ​​Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka.

It was told from the Adugodi police station that the car got blown up in the accident. Police said that among the dead are the son of DMK MLA Prakash Vai (Prakash Y) of Hosur district of Tamil Nadu and his wife Bindu.

The other victims were identified as Ishita, Dhanush, Akshay, Goyal, and Rohit. All of them are around 20-30 years old and all of them were living in PG of the city.

According to the police, three people were sitting in the front seat of the crashed Audi car while there were four people in the back seat.

Police said none of the passengers were wearing seat belts. 6 died on the spot and one died at St. Johns Hospital in Bengaluru. Adugodi Police has registered an FIR.

The car rammed into the Punjab National Bank building and lost control after which it climbed onto the pavement. According to the traffic police, the accident happened between 1 pm and 2 pm.

The police investigating the matter informed that the car with the VIP number plate did not have an airbag. The post-mortem of the dead is being done at Saint John’s Hospital.
