Second T20 century scored by Ireland in a week, India and Australia also behind.

Ireland’s team scored 178 runs for 2 wickets in the third T20 match being played against Zimbabwe. Playing a strong inning in the team’s star opener Paul Starlin, scored a brilliant century.

This is the second century scored by the Ireland team in T20 in a week. Just a few days ago, female batsman Gabby Lewis scored a century against Germany.

In the third match of the five-match T20I series, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Starlin, who came out to open the innings with Kevin O’Brien, scored a century while playing a blazing inning.

He completed fifty runs in 47 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes. To score the next fifty, this batsman faced only 27 balls.

Starlin completed his century, hitting 7 fours and 7 sixes in 70 balls. Captain Andy Barberini made 31 while Kevin scored 9 runs.

Ireland made history.

On 26 August, Ireland’s female batsman Gabby scored a T20 century while playing against the German team. Now on Wednesday, September 1, Starlin scored a century while playing a strong inning.

This is the first time in cricket history when two T20 centuries have been scored by a team in T20 cricket within a week.

Most T20 Centuries.

Rohit Sharma has scored four centuries in T20 cricket for India so far. He is at the forefront of scoring the most centuries in this format.

New Zealand’s Kalin Munro and Australia’s Glenn Maxwell have three T20 centuries each.

Apart from this, Martin Guptill of New Zealand, Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis of West Indies, Aaron Finch of Australia, and KL Rahul of India have scored two centuries each.
