Security forces have foiled a major terrorist conspiracy in Pulwama in South Kashmir by recovering a powerful IED on time.

According to information received here, the police had received news that the terrorists are preparing IEDs in Pulwama to carry out the plot of a major bomb blast.

As soon as the news was received, the police, along with 53 RR soldiers of the army, carried out a search operation under siege of Kamarajpora of Pulwama.

Investigative dogs and drones were also used in this expedition. While searching the soldiers, when they entered an orchard, they found an IED secretly kept hidden there.

Related sources said that this IED was produced from about seven kg RDX. The security forces took the IED into their possession and safely denied it.

He said that the terrorists who prepared the IED and their hour-long workplaces were being searched. Other details are awaited.

Kashmir: Policeman posted in DPL Avantipora dies of cardiac arrest.

A policeman on duty at District Police Lines DPL Avantipora died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday and Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Pampore Laddu, a resident of Ejaz Ahmed.

Police said that on Tuesday-Wednesday midnight, Aijaz, who was posted in night duty at DPL, suddenly felt severe pain in his heart. He fell to the ground before he could tell anyone about it.

His fellow soldiers immediately picked him up. He saw that Ijaz was not conscious at all. They immediately picked him up and took him to the nearest hospital. Whereupon doctors declared him brought dead after investigation.

This sad news was conveyed to his family in the night. After completing the post-mortem and all the legal formalities of the police this morning, the body was handed over to his family members.

Srinagar: A teenager committed suicide by jumping into the Kishanganga river in Bandipore, North Kashmir district.

Police said that till now investigation has revealed that the teenager used to work as a laborer by profession. They have registered a case and started investigation.
