A statement has been issued today from Russia regarding its relations with India. Russia’s Ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev has said that our relations remain the same, solid, comprehensive, coherent and pioneer in spite of any global unrest.

They are based on universal principles of respect for interstate relations, international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and other interests.

Nikolay Kudashev on the Russian Foreign Minister’s visit to India earlier this month said that it was a very important visit in terms of preparations for the next highest level of exchanges.

Including Russian President Vladimir Putin in India in the second half of this year. Also included is a planned trip too.

Russia’s Ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev further said that in defense, Russia remains a major Indian partner.

Internationally, we are on the same page regarding issues of promoting strategic stability and international security.

He said that we are strong in supporting the central role of the United Nations and we expand our coordination during the current Indian non-permanent membership in the Security Council.

Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Envoy to India Roman Babuskin said that as far as the approval of the Sputnik vaccine in India is concerned.

It is a very important step as it will open a new dimension in our special privilege strategic partnership. This would certainly support vaccination efforts in India.

The third corona vaccine gets a green signal in India.

After Covishield and Covacine, now Russia’s emergency use of the Sputnik-V vaccine has also been approved.

The Subject Expert Committee ([SEC)] approved Monday after the third phase trial found Sputnik-V to be completely safe and effective in preventing infection.

By late evening the drug regulator Drug Controller General of India ([DCGI)] also approved its use. Approval of Sputnik-V will help to overcome the shortage of corona vaccine in the country to a great extent.
