Six Militants Of Lashkar-e-Mustafa Terrorist Organization Arrested

Six militants of the Lashkar-e-Mustafa terrorist organization arrested from Kashmir to target a convoy of security forces on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

On Saturday, the police thwarted a major conspiracy being hatched in Anantnag by the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Mustafa, which has its roots in Kashmir.

Police arrested six Lashkar-e-Mustafa militants and seized an Alto car along with weapons from their possession. All these are currently being questioned.

The captured militants had raked them in Anantnag and Bijbehada for attacking police and army installations.

Apart from this, he also planned to put an IED on the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Bijbehada to target the security convoy.

Based on the interrogation of the captured terrorists, it has been found that Jaish-e-Mohammed and the Pakistani intelligence agency are behind Lashkar-e-Mustafa.

Lashkar-e-Mustafa has been formed to give full local color to terrorism in Kashmir and to save Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Lashkar-e-Mustafa has been active since August 2020

In the last two years, five new terrorist organizations TRF, PAFF, Ghaznavi Force, Lashkar-e-Mustafa, and Kashmir Tigers have emerged in Kashmir.

The activities of Lashkar-e-Mustafa were first felt in Wadi during the last week of August 2020. The commander of this organization is Hidayatullah who hails from the district Shopian. His code name is Hasnain.

The terrorists of the same organization looted Rs 60 lakh from a cash van of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Shopian during the first week of November 2020.

After this, on 10 November 2020, two terrorists involved in looting a cash van were killed by security forces in Katpora Shopian.

Confirming the arrest of six militants of Lashkar-e-Mustafa, the police spokesman said that the arrests started on Friday evening which lasted till this morning.

The spokesman said that for the past few days, the news was being received that some terrorists associated with Lashkar-e-Mustafa were trying to expand their network in different parts of Anantnag and recruit local boys.

On the basis of this, vigilance was increased in the entire district. Suspected youths were being monitored.

On Friday afternoon, news came that some local terrorists associated with this organization were going to pass through the Donivara Bijbehada area. Naka was imposed on the basis of this.
