South Africa beat Ireland by 33 runs in the first T20 with the brilliant bowling of Tabrez Shamsi.

South Africa beat Ireland by 33 runs in the first T20 on Monday with the help of world number one T20 bowler Tabrez Shamsi’s superb bowling.

He took four wickets for 27 runs. With this win, the visiting team is now 1-0 ahead in the three-match series. The hosts had no answer to the spin bowling of Shamsi and George Linde (2/26).

Also, Lungi Ngidi made a comeback after taking a rest from the last two ODIs and made an impressive comeback of 2/18.

Kagiso Rabada took one for 28 and chased down 166 for victory to restrict Ireland to 132/9 in the end.

For Ireland, Harry Tector scored 36, Barry McCarthy scored 30 not out, captain Andrew Balbirnie made 22 and Josh Little scored 15 not out.

Earlier in the match, after losing the toss, South Africa, batting first, was restricted to 165/7 in 20 overs. Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma gave the team a quick start.

De Kock scored 20 runs in just nine balls before being dismissed by Mark Adair in the third over. After this, Bavuma 13 and Jaaneman Malan were dismissed after scoring four runs.

Aiden Markram scored 39 runs in 30 balls. David Miller 28 and Rassie van der Dussen made 25. In the end, Kagiso Rabada scored an unbeaten 19 off just nine balls, hitting four consecutive fours.

For Ireland, Adair took 3 for 39, while Simi Singh took two wickets each. The second match will be played on Thursday 22 July in Belfast.

Mayank Agarwal will start the innings, Team India will play an important match in England.

The Indian cricket team is on a tour of England where it will play in a five-match Test series. Before this series, Team India will play against County Select XI in their first practice match on Tuesday.

India will have a chance to try their players in this match. Shubman Gill has been out of the tour due to injury, so Mayank Agarwal can get a chance to open in this match.

This three-day practice match is to be played from July 20 to July 22.
