The outpost in charge is in critical condition. SP Keshav Kumar Chaudhary arrived with a heavy police force and raided the search for the accused.

Shah Begum, the wife of Bhikdev resident Ajmat, had filed a dowry harassment case against husband and accused father-in-law Rafiq alias Hakkal about two years ago.

Shah Begum had said that the father-in-law in the case was not arrested and threatened. On March 18, Shah Begum took up the matter with Poonam Kapoor, a member of the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Women.

On this, the police detained Rafiq on Friday and the case was dropped when the agreement was reached.

In the case, Shah Begum, who was living in Kabir Nagar, had reached Bhikdev on Saturday night with his in-charge Gajendra Pal. Shah Bano was supposed to stay at the in-laws here, which the police went to.

The police were interrogating Rafiq’s elder son Hasar Ali, who suddenly attacked the women of the house beside the accused, Afroon, Asroon, Raisha, and Chandra. The police thought that some of them started running brick and stone.

Police had to fire air.

Some soldiers ran around to save their lives and asked for help on the wireless. The garrison in charge incurred a gush after falling on the head there. Apart from this, soldier Samar Singh also bled.

Seeing the retreat of the attackers, the soldiers fired an aerial fire, on which all fled from there. The woman was also injured in the stone-pelting.

The force reached Rasulabad police station and admitted the injured woman to CHC and the rest to a nursing home in Kanpur.

The force of several police stations including SP Keshav Kumar Chaudhary, ASP Ghanshyam Chaurasia reached the spot.

Five police teams are on the lookout for the accused, who was scolding till the news was written. The SP said that the search for the accused is being raided.
