India on Tuesday successfully test-fired surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) ‘Pralaya’ from Abdul Kalam Island off Odisha coast.
Giving information about this, a defense official said that this missile has been developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
The missile was launched at around 9.50 a.m. During this period the missile accomplished all its mission objectives.
He said a battery of tracking instruments monitored its trajectory along the coastline.

Pralay has been developed for deployment on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and Line of Control (LOC).
The Pralay missile can be compared with China’s ‘Dong Feng 12’ and Russia’s ‘Iskander’, which were used in the ongoing war with Ukraine.
It also has tactical ballistic missiles in Pakistan’s defense system.
