Russia’s Foreign Ministry claims that heavy deployment of forces has been done on the border by both the countries of Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

This incident related to the deployment of a large number of troops reflects the increasing tension between the Taliban and Tajikistan.

Russia has said that the tension in Tajik-Afghan relations has increased due to strong statements from the leaders of the Taliban and Tajikistan.

This tension is not limited to statements alone. At present, a large number of armed forces have been deployed along the common border from both countries.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexei Zaitsev said thousands of special forces units had been deployed in the border (northern) Afghan province of Takhar alone.

Russia has called on the two countries to find a mutually acceptable solution in view of the escalating tensions between Afghanistan and Tajikistan along the border.

According to the report, Tajik President Emomali Rahman has refused to recognize the Taliban government, accusing the group of human rights abuses.

Tajikistan deployed troops: At the same time, the Taliban has asked Tajikistan not to interfere, calling it a domestic matter.

The deepening tension between the two countries can be gauged from the fact that Tajik ruler Rahmon presided over a military parade near the border.

Notably, Tajikistan is the only neighboring country in Afghanistan that is emerging as the strongest critic of the Taliban.

According to reports, anger towards the Taliban has also been seen among the Tajiks over the attack in the Panjshir Valley.
