Terror Cases Should Be Resolved At The Earliest

Terror cases should be resolved at the earliest: 2008 Ahmedabad Bomb Blast Case.

The fight against terror seemed to be progressing as 38 convicts responsible for the Ahmedabad bomb blasts were sentenced to death and 11 to life imprisonment.

But it cannot be overlooked that it took 14 years to arrive at the verdict.

Right now it is difficult to say that when this decision of the special court will be challenged in the higher courts, then when will it be disposed of from there?

Terror cases should be resolved: The horrific bombings at 21 locations in Ahmedabad in 2008 reminded one of the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.

The terrorists had hatched a conspiracy to terrorize Surat as well as Ahmedabad, but the bombs kept there did not explode for some reason.

The Ahmedabad terror incident, which claimed 56 lives and left more than 200 bloody, was carried out by the terrorists of SIMI and Indian Mujahideen.

It was the culmination of the audacity of the Indian Mujahideen that it did not delay at all in taking responsibility for this terrorist incident.

Before Ahmedabad, the terrorists of this dreaded organization had killed many innocent people by blasting bombs in other cities of the country including Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi.

This organization had spread its network across the country.

The terrorists who were sentenced for the Ahmedabad bombings include terrorists from Madhya Pradesh-Maharashtra to Kerala-Karnataka.

Many of these are from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. It should be remembered how some leaders shamelessly defended the terrorists of Azamgarh who were involved in the Batla House incident of Delhi.

Similarly, it is also a fact that a campaign was launched to make Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Ishrat Jahan innocent.

It is true that in recent times, terrorist incidents, as well as the audacity of terrorists, have come to a halt, but there is no dearth of sympathizers for terrorists and extremist elements.

The way explosives were recovered in the country’s capital Delhi last day, also shows that there is still a need to be vigilant against terrorist elements.

Along with showing this caution, it should also be kept in mind that the organization PFI is being seen in instigating the hijab controversy, which is believed to be a new incarnation of the banned organization SIMI.
