A Naka party was ambushed by terrorists in South Kashmir’s Pulwama on Sunday afternoon. In this, a police personnel jawan has been sacrificed and a CRPF jawan was seriously injured.

As soon as the attack took place, the soldiers took charge, but the terrorists fled from the spot.

Immediately this area was surrounded by security forces and started a search operation which continued till late at night. The condition of the injured jawans is stable at present.

Expressing grief over the sacrifice of the police personnel, the Lieutenant Governor termed the actions of the terrorists as cowardly.

In view of the possibility of hiding somewhere near the terrorists, the search operation is still going on, but there is no clue about the attacking terrorists.

No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for this attack so far. It is said that two to three terrorists suddenly attacked the Naka party, causing panic there.

In the midst of this chaos, the attackers kept on running. Immediately an intensive search operation was launched by jointly making additional deployment of police, army, and CRPF personnel there.
