Drug trafficking in JK: Drug abuse continues in Kashmir, now two arrested with 800 grams of heroin

The Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Anti Narcotics Task Force has arrested two notorious smugglers operating a network of drug trafficking in different districts of the Kashmir Valley.

Mohammed Shafi and Bilal Ahmad, arrested on charges of smuggling, are residents of Shopian. There are cases against them in several police stations of the valley.

The task force has seized 800 grams of heroin from both. SP Anti Narcotics Task Force Vinay Sharma said that the difference in the value of heroin recovered from the two accused in the national market is up to three to four crores.

On the concrete information of drug smuggling, the task force personnel blocked the durgamula in Kupwara district.

During this time he caught two people carrying a consignment of heroin. During the search of the arrested accused, heroin was recovered from him.

Taskforce personnel seized the car (HP 22E-5622) in which heroin was hidden. A case has been registered against both the accused at the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Police Station.
