Terrorists shot dead two youths in Srinagar despite tight security arrangements.

Terrorists on Saturday shot dead two civilians in two separate incidents in the summer capital in the summer capital amid tight security arrangements in view of the Union ministers’ visit to Kashmir.

The Resistance Front (TRF), a terrorist organization called Lashkar’s Hit Squad, has claimed responsibility for these attacks.

The police have not officially confirmed the identity of the terrorist organization and the terrorists who carried out the attacks.

However, a search operation has been launched to nab the terrorists by placing blockades in various parts of the entire city.

Terrorists shot dead two youths in Srinagar: Both the crime spots are at a distance of one to one and a half kilometers from the Civil Secretariat and District Police Lines.

The terrorists carried out the first incident at 5.30 pm in the Madina complex of Karan Nagar. He fired three bullets at Chhatbal resident Majid Ahmed Gojri standing near a confectionery shop there.

Bullets hit his chest and he fell to the ground. During this, the terrorists also escaped in the stampede.

On hearing the sound of gunfire, police and CRPF personnel patrolling the nearby area immediately reached the spot. They surrounded the entire area and took the injured Majeed to the hospital.

The doctors declared him brought dead in the hospital. Abdul Majeed Guru was a close friend of Mehran Pathan, who was killed in the terrorist attack in Nawakdal on July 27 last.

Like Mehran, Majeed was also a member of the alleged Gujjar gang operating in Down Town.

About two and a half hours after the killing of Majid, the terrorists attacked Mohammad Shafi Dar, a resident of SD Colony in Batamaloo, at around quarter to eight.

Mohammad Shafi was shot in the stomach and the terrorists fled from there thinking he was dead.

After the terrorists left, the local people informed the police and took the injured Mohammad Shafi to the hospital, where his condition remained critical.

Eventually, he died late in the night. Police have started the investigation by registering separate cases in respect of these two incidents.
