Confirming this, IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that these terrorists were also involved in the murder of Sarpanch Sameer Dar.

The IG says that even after the terrorists started firing, they were given several opportunities to surrender but they did not agree to lay down their arms.

They continued to open fire and in the retaliatory action of the security forces, all the three terrorists were killed.

These terrorists are hiding in a house in Nowgam on the outskirts of Srinagar.

Due to the ongoing encounter, the railway management had suspended the train service running between Banihal-Baramulla for the time being as a precaution.

This railway track lies very close to the encounter site. In such a situation, it could become a cause of danger for the passengers.

The security forces had received information about the presence of three terrorists, after which a search operation was launched in the area, but the terrorists started firing on seeing the security forces.

This is the fourth encounter in the Kashmir Valley within the last four days.

On Tuesday, Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Owais Raja was killed by security forces during an encounter in the Charsu area of ​​Awantipora.

Prior to that on March 13, 4 terrorists were killed in three different encounters between security forces and terrorists.

These include Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Suhail Ganai in Rajwar Handwara.

Lashkar terrorist Adil Khan in Ganderbal encounter while Pakistani terrorist Kamal Bhai and his accomplice Aaqib Bhat were killed in the Pulwama encounter.

Security forces say that these terrorists are hiding in a residential area in Nowgam. Keeping in mind the safety of the people, the campaign is going on. Soon this encounter will be ended.
