Congratulating the countrymen on the occasion of Guru Gobind Sahib’s birth anniversary, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, “I bow to Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji on his 355th Prakash Parv.

Celebration of Prakash Parv on the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh.

Every year the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh is celebrated on 9 January. There is an atmosphere of happiness and gaiety in the country on this occasion of Prakash Parv.

Guru Gobind Singh was the tenth and last Guru of the Sikhs in human form, who proclaimed “1.25 Lakh Se Ek Ladwaan Taan Govind Singh Naam Dharawan”.

Born in Patna Sahib, Bihar, Guru Gobind Singh’s childhood name was Gobind Rai. He was the ninth Guru.

After the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, he was enthroned in ‘Guru Gaddi’ at the age of nine.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, Prabhat Pheri is taken out in Gurdwaras like Sabad, Kirtan, Ardas, and Langar is organized.

Permission to worship during curfew.

In view of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has allowed devotees to offer prayers at Gurdwaras on Sunday, during the weekend curfew imposed in Delhi amid the rising outbreak of the Corona pandemic.
