Two LeT Terrorists Were Gunned Down By Security Forces
Two LeT terrorists were gunned down by security forces in Shopian encounter, arms recovered: Jammu and Kashmir.
Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Amshipora village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday morning.
Besides the bodies of the two terrorists, a huge quantity of arms, ammunition, and some incriminating material were also recovered from the encounter site.
Both the terrorists killed are said to be locals and have been identified as Muzzamil and Shakir. However, their identity has not been revealed officially yet.
This morning after receiving information about the hiding of two to three terrorists in Amshipora village, a joint team of Army, Police, and CRPF launched a search operation in the area.
After laying siege to the village, when the security personnel was searching the houses, these two terrorists hiding at the suspected place opened fire on them.
Before retaliating, the security forces gave them a chance to surrender. But when they did not stop firing, the security forces also started firing from here.
Two LeT terrorists were gunned down by security forces: The security forces killed both these terrorists within about two hours.
According to local sources, both the terrorists killed are local and their relationship is being told to Lashkar-e-Taiba. They have been identified as Muzzamil and Shakir.
Police or military officials have not yet given any official information in this regard. The bodies of both the terrorists have been taken by the security forces.
Apart from arms, ammunition, incriminating material has also been recovered from the encounter site.
Anticipating the presence of more terrorists in the area, the army also launched a search operation and when it was confirmed that no more terrorists were present in the area, the security personnel left the village with the bodies and weapons.
