Two terrorists killed in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, in a joint operation by the army and police, and the search continues.

According to the report of the news agency, the Jammu and Kashmir Police said that this operation was conducted in the border area of Dobnar Machal in the Kupwara district.

The army and the Kupwara police together eliminated two terrorists. Police said that the area where the terrorists were holed up has been sealed and the search operation is on.

During this time, they found the bodies of two bullet-riddled terrorists along with their weapons and other equipment. The two terrorists killed are believed to be Pakistani.

The documents received from them are being examined.

The concerned officials said that the possibility that other accomplices of the killed terrorists could not be ruled out were hiding somewhere, so as a precaution, the area was cordoned off and searched.

Last month, a terrorist was killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Karhama Kunjar area of Baramulla, Jammu, and Kashmir.

In the Rajouri encounter too, one terrorist was killed by the security forces, while another was reported to be injured.

The major action of NIA in the terror funding case, Hurriyat leader Ayaz Akbar’s property attached, was arrested in 2017.

NIA seized the property of Hurriyat Chief Ayaz Akbar in Shalteng, Srinagar. This action has been taken in the case of terrorist funding for terrorist and separatist activities in Kashmir.

On Monday, 17 properties of Zahoor Watali, involved in the same case, were attached, while JKLF commander Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment by the court last year in the same case.

Attached are 10 Marla land and house.

Concerned officials said that a team of NIA along with the revenue officials today attached a Kanal 10 Marla land and the house built on it at Shalteng.

This house is registered in the name of Mohd Akbar Khande, who himself lives in Malura, next to the Imam Ul Banna Masjid.

Mohammad Akbar Khande is the father of jailed Hurriyat leader Ayaz Akbar in connection with terror funding.

Ayaz Akbar was the spokesman for hardline separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Syed Ali Shah Geelani died on 1st September 2021.
