Two Terrorists Were Arrested By Police In Budgam

Two terrorists were arrested in connection with a grenade attack in Budgam, Jammu, and Kashmir, police informed.

Jammu and Kashmir Police have got a big success in the case of a grenade attack in Budgam on Independence Day.

The police have arrested two “hybrid terrorists” of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in this connection. Police officials gave this information.

It is noteworthy that on August 15, terrorists hurled a grenade at Gopalpura Chadoora in Budgam district, in which a person named Krishna Kumar was injured.

A case has been registered at the local police station, the official said.

Police tweeted the information.

Kashmir Zone Police tweeted on Saturday, “Budgam Police has solved the mystery of the grenade attack in Gopalpura on 15th August.

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists Sahil Wani and Altaf Farooq Amir have been arrested. The vehicle used by the terrorists has been seized. The investigation is on.”

CCTV footage revealed.

He said that during the investigation of the case, the CCTV footage revealed that two suspects on the scooty were involved in the grenade-throwing incident.

Several suspects were interrogated and during the investigation, the police got information that Sahil Ahmed Wani, a resident of Tanganar Kralpopara Chadoora, was involved in the attack, the official said.

They said Wani was arrested and during interrogation, he admitted that he and the main conspirator Altaf Farooq alias Amir had carried out the crime.

After this, Farooq was arrested after conducting raids, the official said. The officer said that the incident was carried out at the behest of Lashkar-e-Taiba and The Resistance Force (TRF) to create fear in society.

Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was killed in Kashmir Valley, but police did not fire.

A terrorist associated with Lashkar, operating in Jammu and Kashmir, died of a heart attack.

Muni Mohammad, a resident of Hiranagar in Kathua district, was arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police on July 18. He was a companion of Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Faisal Munir.

The police had arrested it along with Faizal Munir. A sticky bomb, pistol, and AK-47 were recovered from the possession of Muni Mohammad.

The NIA had also raided Muni Mohammad’s house in Hiranagar yesterday and recovered some documents.
