US angry over arrest warrant against democracy supporters in Hong Kong, issued a stern warning. The US angry over the Chinese act has expressed deep concern over an arrest warrant against pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong under the National Security Act.

On Friday, the US Foreign Affairs Committee said that this action undermines China. This move of China separates him from international obligations. China’s action will undermine its credibility in the international world.

China is silencing people standing for democracy and rule of law

Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Elliot El Engel and Senator Bob Menendez said in a joint statement that we are concerned with the announcement of the latest arrest warrant from Hong Kong. He said that many famous pro-democracy activists were also included in the arrest warrants under the National Security Act. Many of these activists have been United States citizens for decades.

He said that this action of China would hurt his image in the international community. The US angry over the Chinese act says China is violating international laws and regulations. He is losing credibility as a responsible rule-making member of the international community. The joint statement asserted that if Beijing feels that this effort will silence those who stand for freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, then it is wrong. He said that we are all Hong Kong today.

Hong Kong Police issued a warrant under the National Security Act

Under the National Security Act, the Hong Kong police are searching for six people, including activist Nathan Law Kwan-Chung and former British consulate employee Simon Cheng Man-Kit. The South China Morning Post quoted a police source as saying that pro-democracy activists Ray Wong Tui-tung and Lau Hong are currently living in Britain.

He has been accused by police of colluding with foreign forces and inciting isolation. According to the police, this act puts national security at risk. Therefore, they come under the purview of the National Security Act. Under this, Samuel Chu and Wen Chan Ka-Kui of the Hong Kong Democracy Council living in the US are also listed as suspects.

Several countries suspend extradition agreement with Hong Kong

Several countries have suspended their extradition agreements with Hong Kong in the wake of the implementation of the controversial security law. Germany has decided to suspend its extradition treaty with Hong Kong. China announced the first postponement of Hong Kong’s extradition treaties with Canada, Australia, and Britain, following the announcement of a similar decision by the three countries to protest against the controversial new security law.
