US Sucessfully Tested Hypersonic Weapon In Virginia

US successfully tested a hypersonic weapon. Great success for America! Successful test of hypersonic weapon.

The US successfully tested a hypersonic weapon on Wednesday. The US Navy has successfully test-fired a hypersonic weapons rocket at the Wallops Flight Test Facility in Virginia.

The US Navy said it was a joint program between the US Army and Navy.

This was the second test conducted under a program focused on developing sea- and land-based hypersonic capabilities. The first test was conducted in October 2021.

According to a leading news agency, a sounding rocket was fired from the launchpad in this test.

It involved various experiments to collect data and gather information about electronics with high-temperature resistant materials.

Director of Strategic Systems Programs Vice Admiral Johnny Wolfe said that today’s launch was very successful.

He further said that ‘in fact, we have completed our work. We collected every data we wanted to collect.’

Rocket launching on Thursday too.

A second rocket is scheduled for launch on Thursday, the US Navy said. It will use an additional 13 designed for the development of hypersonic weapons.

Data collected from these tests will help in the development of the Navy’s conventional hypersonic system and the Army’s long-range hypersonic weapon.

Both programs will use a common hypersonic glide body, the Navy said.

It is worth noting that after China’s successful hypersonic launch last year, the Pentagon has made the development of hypersonic weapons one of its top priorities.

Russia has started using hypersonic missiles in Ukraine. It is known that a hypersonic weapon is a weapon that travels at 5 times the speed of sound.

That is, hypersonic weapons fly in the air at a speed of 6115 kilometers per hour. If this weapon flies at a speed of 1220 km per hour just above the sea, then it becomes difficult to attack it.
