Chief of Khalistan Commando Force Paramjit Singh Panjwar was shot dead in Lahore, wanted in many cases.

Paramjit Singh Panjwar, the chief of the separatist group Khalistan Commando Force (KCF), was killed on Saturday morning at Sunflower Society Johar Town in Lahore.

Panjwar was wanted for reviving Sikh militancy, murder, conspiracy, and arms smuggling in India.

Was wanted in the murder case of a former army chief.

Panjwar was also wanted in connection with the murder of former army chief General AS Vaidya and the country’s biggest bank heist in Ludhiana.

Panjwar’s two bodyguards were also killed by the assailants. It is said that Panjwar was once close to the ISI. Security forces feel that the killing has helped Pakistan maintain the international narrative.

Panjwar was a resident of Punjab.

According to several media reports, Panjwar was a resident of Panjwar village near Tarn Taran. Until 1986, when he joined the Khalistan Commando Force, he worked at the Central Cooperative Bank in Sohal.

In 1986, he joined the KCF whose commander and his cousin Labh Singh were a major influence on him. His wife and children are said to be living in Germany now.

What is the purpose of KCF?

KCF aims to strengthen all separatist Khalistani militant groups and achieve their goal of creating a ‘Sikh Homeland’.

It has a three-tier hierarchical structure, with members of the Panthic Samiti constituting the first tier and the leadership of the second tier.

The third tier of the KCF mainly consisted of cadres from the All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF). KCF is reportedly present in Canada, the UK, and Pakistan.

It also enjoys the patronage of sympathizers in Western Europe and America.
