DGP Dilbag Singh told the media that a joint team of police, army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
The DGP said that as the joint team of forces moved towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired at them, which was retaliated and an encounter was started.
